Pope & Land Senior Vice President Mason Zimmerman has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate development, brokerage and leasing. He joined the company in 1996 after 8 years with AMLI Realty Co., where he served as a Vice President responsible for AMLI’s portfolio of multi-use business parks in Georgia.

Mr. Zimmerman’s responsibilities at Pope & Land include a broad range of asset management activities for an 800,000 sf portfolio of office properties, as well as the pursuit of new development opportunities and property acquisitions and dispositions. He is the managing member and broker for Western & Atlantic Development, LLC, a company founded in 1996 to provide management, leasing, development and marketing services for commercial property owners. He is also active in the development, leasing and management of small shopping centers and retail properties and retains an active membership in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). His retail experience includes developing and leasing buildings for such tenants as Barnes & Noble, Sears, Circuit City, HiFi Buys and Baby Superstore.

Mason is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and an associate broker with Pope & Land Enterprises, Inc. He is an active member and has held leadership positions in numerous trade organizations including National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Council for Quality Growth. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Cumberland Community Improvement District (CID) and is Chairman of the Town Center Area Community Improvement District (CID).

He received a B.A. degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1984. He and his wife, Shelley, have three children and have lived in Peachtree Corners since 1989.
