Regent Partners, LLC and Pope & Land Enterprises, Inc. recently acquired 3330 Peachtree, a 60,000 SF, five-story vacant office building, former home to American InterContinental University. The Atlanta developers, in their first partnership, plan to get an early jump on the next commercial real estate development cycle.
The team hopes to start development next spring and could take two approaches. The first approach involves gutting the building and renovating the interior and exterior. More likely, they will demolish the structure and redevelop 100,000 to 200,000 SF for office, hospitality, retail or some combination of each. The new project underscores a belief that urban redevelopment will be a significant trend in the next commercial real estate cycle.
